There are many hundreds of types and sizes of plate and sheet in metalweb’s stock range. For non-stock sizes, through our reserved allocation, lead times can be scheduled to meet your requirements.
Common widths of Aluminium Plate are 1000mm, 1250mm and 1500mm. Common lengths are 2000mm,2500 mm and 3000mm respectively. Aluminium Plate can be cut as per clients requirements. Euro Steel carries a wide range of thickness 3mm up to and including 100mm. Thinner than 3mm is considered to be sheet.
The stock range of Aluminum Brazing Sheet plate quality and price contains numerous sizes, alloys, and tempers.
Flatness
The majority of our hot rolled aluminium plate stock is control stretched to minimise built-in stresses and to achieve a high standard of flatness. If European Norm flatness tolerances are not adequate for your needs you should consider buying Cast Tooling Plate.
Welding
All grades are good welding alloys except the 2000 and 7000 series. MIG or TIG welding is recommended.
0.001-30mm Thickness Aluminium Plate is roughly 1/3 the weight of mild steel, it is non corrosive and can be formed easily. Sheets can be used for a wide range of applications from tooling plate, structural, general engineering, transport, agricultural, architectural, truck bodies, trailer parts ship and boat building. Plate is supplied standard mill finish or it can be brushed to No.4 Satin Finish.
